This Privacy Policy explains what personal information PepLair Research (“PepLair”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use peplairresearch.shop (the “Site”) or buy from us, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you create an account, place an order or contact us, we collect:
- your name, company name, email address and phone number;
- your billing and shipping addresses;
- your research field and the research-use-only, policy and age acknowledgments you confirm at checkout;
- your order history, and any proof of payment you upload;
- anything you send us through the contact form, by email, text, Telegram or Discord.
Payment information. Card and bank payments are handled by our third-party payment processors. We do not receive or store your full card number. We keep a record of the payment method, the transaction reference and the payment status.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site we log your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. We use this to run and secure the Site and to prevent fraud.
Cookies
We use cookies that the Site needs to work: to keep you logged in, remember your cart, record that you passed the age check and remember your cookie choices. Security and caching tools on the Site may also set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Site, including checkout, may stop working.
How we use your information
- to process, ship and track your orders and send you order and shipping emails;
- to manage your account and answer your questions;
- to confirm that purchases meet our research-use-only and 21+ requirements;
- to prevent fraud, chargeback abuse and misuse of the Site;
- to tell you when a product is back in stock, if you ask us to;
- to send you news and offers, only if you subscribe (you can unsubscribe at any time from any marketing email);
- to comply with the law and keep business, tax and accounting records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store, and only as much as they need to do their job:
- payment processors, to take payment and prevent fraud;
- shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS and FedEx) and our fulfillment and tracking tools, to deliver your order;
- email providers, to send order emails and, if you subscribe, our newsletter;
- hosting and security providers, to keep the Site running and protected.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, to enforce our Terms and Conditions or to protect our rights, including in a payment dispute (see our Chargeback Policy). If the business is sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep order records, including the acknowledgments you confirm at checkout, for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, legal and dispute purposes. We keep your account details until you ask us to close your account. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
How we protect it
The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and protected by security monitoring. Access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to run the store. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your account details at any time on the My Account page. You can also ask us to:
- send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information, except what we must keep for legal, tax or dispute purposes;
- stop sending you marketing emails.
Depending on where you live, for example California, you may have further rights under state privacy law. We will not treat you differently for using them. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first.
Age requirement
The Site and our products are only for adults aged 21 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
The Site may link to other websites, such as carrier tracking pages. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
